Duties and Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Candidate should have experience of software development lifecycle. Candidate should have ability to work under work pressure and apply skills of programming, project management and client relationship building.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management.
- Serve a important role in all client meetings.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver project progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Conduct training sessions to the team members.
- Helping production team resolve problems both technical as well as human resources issues, tracking and approving vacation and personal days for employees within their teams and monitoring individual employees’ performance and relaying this to upper management.
- 4+ years of Project management experience on custom designed, full lifecycle application development projects in a software development organization.
- Over 3+ years of experience in project management including all aspects of Design, Process and workflow development and release cycle delivering content publishing solutions to the market.
- Strong familiarity with project management of Digital publishing solutions.
- Expertise in Content management, digital solution and e-publishing domain.
- Client management and team management skills
- Broad technical knowledge of system designing, application architecture and object oriented programming.
- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Should possess excellent Decision-making.
- Ability to plan and successfully deliver both In-house and Clients Projects.
- Candidate needs to possess excellent skills in oral, presentation, and written communication, handle various challenges with an ability to solve them and thus possess ability to think outside of the box within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
Qualification/ Preferred Knowledge:
- Graduate degree or equivalent professional qualification but with a proven deep technical exposure.
- Deep understanding of the application of IT in publishing industry and Software development process.
- Sound knowledge of the Content Management and Smart publishing services and experience of having worked in the Content Management and Publishing industry and International Markets.
- Knowledge of handling Publishing projects from start to end which includes Project Management, Project Analysis, client communication, team management, scheduling, and quality management.
- Deep understanding of the Publishing, Magazines Prepress and e-Publishing business.
- Knowledge of Pre-media, Graphics & Publishing Technology solutions.
- Solid knowledge of current Internet technologies.
- Experience in computer programming using Java, .net, Flex and other web application frameworks.
- Be able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management and building/ developing great engineering teams
- A record of successful delivery of software systems as an individual
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
